Jordan Brand has made in recent history was the decision to make a concerted effort to focus on producing quality and visually appealing women’s footwear. Over the past few years there have been scores of examples of the brand not treating the ladies as mere afterthoughts and rolled out footwear that spurred the envy of their male counterparts and this upcoming iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High OG is certainly the last example of that successful endeavor.
Inspired by Jordan’s alma mater and the Wright Brothers’ 1903 flight, it sports a white, tumbled leather foundational layer overlaid with university blue at the toe and eye rows. Midnight navy shows up wrapping the heel and flanking the ankle.
University blue Swooshes adorn the lateral and medial sides, while “First In Flight” appears on a separate tag underneath the “NIKE AIR” branded tongue label. Gold makes an appearance on the Wings logo as well as the branded insole, while a white midsole and midnight navy rubber outsole completes the aesthetic.
These are set to release in women’s, preschool and toddlers sizes, so gentlemen let the ladies have these, and will debut July 6 at nike.com and select retail establishments.
